Ber. Schweiz. Bot. Ges., 1949, 59, 39-42

Ascospores pigmented dictyospores as in Hysterographium, but hyterothecia borne within the substrate, barely erumpent at maturity, with a cristate slightly extroverted longitudinal apex instead of an invaginated sulcus. Neotropical.

= Hysterocarina paulistae Zogg

Ber. Schweiz. Bot. Ges., 1949, 59, 39-42. Rare. South America (Brazil). Old wood of Eucalyptus.

Wehmeyer (1975): “Zogg (1962) erected this genus for a species similar to Hysterographium but with ascocarps having a keel-like ridge along the slit-like opening. The base of the ascocarp is sunken in the wood.”
